Abstract
1286446 Plate heat exchangers JOHANNES BURMESTER & CO 30 Jan 1970 4527/70 Heading F4S A hollow plate heat exchange element intended for use with a fluid which evaporates or condenses as it flows through the element, comprises a plurality of parallel flow ducts extending between turning points such as 5-8, 10, 14, 15, &c. and individually all of the same cross-section said ducts being joined together in parallel-connected groups 9, 12-13, 19-21, and 28-31, said groups forking at points such as 11 (Fig. 3), 17, 18 and 25-27 located downstream of said turning points to provide a passage for the fluid increasing (or decreasing) stepwise in cross-section.
