1285843 Liquid-ring compressors SIEMEN & HINSCH mbH 16 Feb 1971 4721/71 Heading F1C In a liquid-ring compressor, at least a portion of the radially outer boundary edge of an outflow port 3 in a side plate 1 is provided with a rounding- off or bevelling-off 3c at the side of the plate nearer the impeller 4, 5. This prevents the escape of an excessive quantity of operating liquid when the compressor is working at low pressure. The rounding or levelling need only extend over the part of the outflow port first reached in rotation by the impeller vanes 5. To allow for tolerances in casting and finishing, the portion 3c is preceded by a narrow portion 3a of constant contour. (For Figure see next page)
