Abstract

1284888 Cleaning printing apparatus SISENCA SA 26 Aug 1969 [6 Sept 1968] 42362/69 Heading B6C A cylinder or roller of a printing machine is cleaned while in place with a machine by contact with a wax-surfaced cleaning roller, to which dust, ink and particles adhere and which is provided with a blade or steel roller which forces the dust, ink and particles into the wax surface. Further wax may be applied to the cleaning roller during use. Preferably the cleaning roller has a rubber body, and is trippable into and out of contact with a plate cylinder, blanket cylinder, impression cylinder, inking roller or delivery roller of the printing machine. Cleaning may take place either during printing or between printing cycles.
