Abstract
1284493 Releasable fastenings B S SMITH 29 Dec 1970 [23 Jan 1970] 349/70 Heading E2A A fastening device comprises a circular plate 12, Fig. 1, for mounting on a member 10 by screws 13, and a plate 15 for mounting on a member 11 by screws 16 Fig. 2. The plate 12 has a recess 14 therein to receive the plate 15 and has a fastening element 17 rotatably mounted thereon. The latter is provided with a circumferential wall 18, Fig. 3, having spaced ribs 19 thereon which engage in a groove 20 formed in the periphery of the plate 12 and continuing in the plate 15 as shown in Fig. 1. A gap 21, Fig. 1, formed in the wall 18 of the element 17, permits the plate 15 to pass therethrough and into the recess 14 in the plate 12. By rotating the element 17, the gap 21 moves out of alignment with the recess 14 and the plate 15 is retained in the recess 14.
