Abstract
1284346 Spray carburetters NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 1 Oct 1970 [3 Oct 1969] 46684/70 Heading FIB Additional fuel for acceleration is supplied to the mixture passage 14 downstream of the throttle valve 22 or to the intake manifold, Fig.6 (not shown), from an auxiliary fuel chamber 38. The pump piston 66 is operated by a diaphragm 70, a piston or a bellows movable in a chamber 76 communicating with the mixture passage 14 downstream of the throttle valve 22. A restricted orifice 90 in the connection to the chamber part 80 restricts the rate of pressure rise in part 80 as compared with part 78 when the throttle valve is opened and thus the pump piston 66 is urged downwardly to discharge fuel through the valve 54, 56.
