Abstract

1283433 Electrophotographic element ADDRESSOGRAPH-MULTIGRAPH CORP 6 April 1970 [30 April 1969] 16139/70 Heading HiK An electrophotographic element comprises a conductive base having a photoconductive layer thereon said layer comprising a photoconductive material of formula wherein R 1 is a fused arenic ring structure having 8 carbon atoms, R 2 is a fused arenic ring having 4 or 8 carbon atoms, x and y are H, halogen, alkyl or alkoxy, the alkyl or alkoxy groups containing 1 to 3 C atoms, and the conductivity of the base is between 10"<SP>11</SP> mho. cm-<SP>1</SP>, and the conductivity of metal. In the specific embodiments various benzo and dibenzofluorenes and substituted derivatives thereof are mixed with a resin and coated on Al, Cu, Zn, paper or metallized polyethylene terephthalate.
