Abstract
1,271,222. Photoconductive composition. EASTMAN KODAK CO. 21 Aug., 1969 [27 Aug., 1968], No. 41796/69. Heading H1K. A photoconductive composition comprises a non-polymeric organic photoconductor and a halogenated polyethylene binder material, the polyethylene containing at least 50 wt. per cent of halogen. The photoconductor is preferably 4,41 - benzylidene - bis - (N,N - diethyl - m - toluidine), bis - (4 - diethylamino) - 1,1,1 - triphenylethane, bis - (4 - diethylamino) - tetraphenylmethane or 4,4<SP>1</SP>-bis-(diphenylaminochalcone) but many others are specified. A sensitizer such as 2,4-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-6-(4-n-amyloxystyryl) pyrylium fluoroborate or 6-chloro- 1<SP>1</SP> - methyl - 1,2<SP>1</SP>,3<SP>1</SP> - triphenylimidazo[4,5 - b]- quinoxalino - 3<SP>1</SP> indolocarbocyanine p-toluene sulphonate may be used. The composition is coated on an aluminium-paper laminate or cellulose acetate coated with a conductive organic sodium salt.
