1279863 Framework connections WARD BROS (SHERBURN) Ltd 8 July 1969 34248/ 69 Heading E1W A framework for a wall or roof structure comprises a plurality of rolled steel support beams (10) Fig. 2 (not shown) supporting a plurality of structural members 11 in parallel. The members 11 being held parallel by tie bars 13, 14 with a hard portion 22, a reduced portion 20 and a shoulder 23. In fixing, the head portion 22 passes through a hole 17 and the reduced portion is slotted into the slot 19. The slot 19 may be of such an extent as to accommodate the ends of two tie bars which extend on opposite sides of the member 11. More than one slot may radiate from the hole 17, and the hole may be filled with a wedge (47) Fig. 7 (not shown) to prevent movement of the tie bars.
