Scaffolding comprises transoms 11 of inverted T-section and tubular ledgers 20 which are spigoted into channel-sectioned sockets 14 welded to tubular uprights, where they are retained by screws 18. The transoms may have similar end fixings or they may be welded to the uprights to form H-frames.
