Abstract

1,211,716. Building frameworks. BALTIMORE CONCRETE PLANK CORP and F. D. PERRY [trading as DYNA STRUCTURES]. 28 Nov., 1967, ,No. 20967/70. Divided out of 1,211,714. Heading E1W. A set of building components comprises a precast column such as 12 having an embedded axially extending tubular steel core 16 opening at opposed end faces of the column, and an elongate connector 36 dimensioned to enter the bore in the core 16 and having intermediate its ends at least one collar 46, adapted to be engaged by the end face of the core. The set of components may comprise a plurality of such columns and connections and at least one precast concrete beam 14 having a plurality of transversely extending embedded steel sleeves 54 spaced therealong, the set being adapted to form a structural frame in which a plurality of columns 12 are spanned by the beam 14 with connectors 36 received within the bores 52 of the sleeves 54 to provide for the erection of further superposed columns 12', Fig. 16.
