Abstract

The frame has been designed to enable the load conditions for different buildings to be accommodated without completely rethinking the structure. A post (1) has three units fixed over it. These units are on bosses and the units are equally spaced. The distance between the top and bottom units is always less than the length of the post. The units have four webs which join the boss to the box shaped outer part of the units. The box is drilled to receive the bolts holding the posts and beams of the main frame. In some cases the units are continuous and are without the box section.
