Abstract

1279497 Detaching floor coverings EUROFLOOR SA 22 Sept 1969 [23 Sept 1968] 46647/69 Heading D1L A PVC floor covering on a jute base is detached from a floor during the introduction of steam between the floor covering and the floor from a slit aperture 2 in a hollow element 1 of triangular cross section having a handle 4 and a steam feed conduit. A means may be included for ensuring that the steam emerges at a uniform rate over the length of the slit. The device is urged foreward when the steam has softened the adhesive. A cutting blade may be attached to each triangular end 5, 5' of the element 1.
