Abstract

An automatic machine to cut up wooden poles and to work the pole heads has a transport guide system to move the holes forward and a transporter coordinated to this. A cutting device sections the poles near the exit of the guide a clamp device holds the pole in the cutting region and a feed system adjusts the pole position. A sensor head senses the presence of the pole head near the cutter and activates the control gear, the feed system and the clamp device as well as the cutter itself. A second control system also connected to the sensor head holds the head of the pole in the cutting region.
