1278528 Wall shuttering M J RICOUARD 3 March 1970 [4 March 1969 28 April 1969] 10117/70 Heading E1S A wall shutter has a reinforcing framework of horizontal members, e.g. 2, and vertical members, e.g. 4, and means for attaching transverse ties, e.g. 8, at two levels in the height of the shutter, each at a distance of between one sixth and one quarter of the height of the framework from the upper or the lower edge of the framework respectively. In the embodiment shown, the side vertical members 4 are channel sectioned, and have semi-circular notches in the free flange edges to accommodate the ties 8, reinforcing channels (10) Fig. 4 (not shown) being provided between the flanges. Shutter edge connectors are provided in the form of threaded rods 26 which pass through holes in the webs of the vertical members 4. A central vertical member 6 has apertured plates 11 arranged across spaced back-to-back channels to locate the ties. Vertical supporting frames 13 mounted on vertically adjustable frames 20 or props are also employed, and can carry a platform. In a further embodiment, Fig. 9, the horizontal reinforcing members 2 each comprise two spaced channel-sectioned members 32 on the far side of the vertical members 4 from the shutter face, the ties passing through the members 4, between the members 32 and through apertured plates 34.
