Abstract

1277829 Photographic processing apparatus AGFA-GEVAERT A G 1 Dec 1970 [12 Dec 1969] 56996/70 Heading G2A Photographic layer supports are processed by passage through a processing chamber C in a substantially horizontal plane, the chamber being formed with an inlet 5c, 6c in each of its upper 10 and lower 14 walls through which in use processing liquid enters the chamber to contact the upper and lower surfaces respectively of the layer supports, in which upper 5a and lower 6a supply conduits supply processing liquid to the upper and lower inlets respectively, the upper and lower conduits each being bounded above by a surface that, in order to reduce or prevent air from being trapped in the supply conduits, is inclined upwardly towards the region of its respective chamber inlet. The supply conduits are fed by a worm wheel pump, and the liquid drains away to a trough (not shown). The liquid issues from the upper conduit through a slot 13 into a vertical distribution channel 5b.
