Abstract
1277673 Currency conversion calculators J F FLETCHER 20 May 1971 [28 May 1970] 25819/70 Heading G4B. A currency conversion calculator comprises a base J carrying a fixed circular scale F calibrated logarithmically in a double decade, and a plate E mounted for rotation about the centre D of the fixed scale and carrying a movable circular scale G also calibrated logarithmically in a double decade, one of the scales including index marks H representing the rates of exchange of other currencies with respect to a reference currency e.g. sterling or U.S. dollars (Fig. 2, not shown) and the other scale including a datum mark A. In the embodiments shown the index marks are on the movable scale. A table of conversion rates may be printed on the central portion I of the plate E. A cursor, mounted for rotation about D may also be provided.
