Abstract
1275367 Injection moulding BALDA WERKE PHOTOGRAPHISCHE GERATE UND KUNSTOFF R GRUTER KG 12 Oct 1970 [20 Jan 1970] 48363/70 Heading B5A [Also in Divisions G2-G3] In a camera viewfinder having walls 1a 2a, 1c, a number of recesses, ribs and supports which serve to locate and retain various optical components are formed integrally with the walls by moulding. Such retaining features are indicated at 11a, llb, 13a, 13b, 17a, 17b. Fig. 4 shows a plastics injection mould for forming the viewfinder, having a left hand half 59, and a right hand half 60 comprising upper and lower sections 60a, 60b whose contours define the outer surfaces of the viewfinder housing. Within the mould sections 60a, 60b are mould slides 63, 64 profiled to form the various retaining features referred to above, the slides being positioned on the surfaces of a wedge 60c. When the mould halves are opened, the slides follow the half 59 and slide along the wedge surfaces, so detaching themselves from the viewfinder walls (Fig. 5, not shown). Figs. (not shown) 5a and 5b are of alternative forms of the moulding members.
