Abstract

Means for fixing a support 3 to an upright 1 consists of a frusto-conical aperture 2 in the support, through which the upright can extend, and a flexible sleeve member 4 having a frusto-conical outer surface and having an incision 5 over at least part of its length, the arrangement being such that, when the device is in use, the sleeve member 4 may be frictionally engaged between the upright and the inside surface defining the frusto-conical aperture in the support. The support 3 may be formed as shown, or may comprise a bolt or a plate with holes for screws, Figs.2 and 3 (not shown), for attachment to whatever is supported. The sleeve member may be of plastics material.
