Abstract

[Also in Division F2] A device for securing a screw-threaded member in an open ended aperture in a sheet-like supporting member comprises an annular body having a peripheral slot 1 formed therein to define two spaced substantially rigid flanges 5, 6 which when the device is assembled in the supporting member are disposed on opposite sides thereof and wherein the body has a through hole 1a, the interior of which is provided with a plurality of inwardly extending ribs such that when a screw threaded member is screwed into the hole, it cuts its own thread in the ribs. In a modification the slot 1 does not enter the central aperture 1a. The device is made of nylon or other resilient material.
