Abstract

1,273,255. Electromagnetic contactors. MIDLAND ELECTRIC MFG. CO. Ltd. 11 Sept., 1969, No. 44841/69. Heading H1N. An electromagnetic contactor has a base 10 enclosing an electromagnet 14 whose armature moves a contact structure 28 between fixed contact carrying members 11, 12 which have hooked projections 22 engaging in slots in the base 10 and a spring clip 23 secures the members 11, 12 together in such a way that the hooks are locked in the base. The members have interengaging projections 11b, 12b located so that the action of the spring clip locks the hooks 22 firmly. An auxiliary unit such as a contact unit 42 or timer, or latch device may be attached so that projections 48 on identical casing halves 43 are urged into slots in members 11, 12 due to the action of a spring clip 49 and interengaging projections 43b. One of the contact bridges of the contactor may be provided with an optional manual operation member projecting from the contactor (Fig. 2, not shown).
