Abstract
1,269,276. Mobile conveyers. TEXAS INDUSTRIES Inc. 7 July, 1969 [11 July, 1968], No. 34216/69. Heading B8A. A trailer 1 having an inclined movable floor for conveying crops to a conveyer 2, is provided with a power shaft 12 terminating in a readily connectible and disconnectible coupling 15 for connecting with a drive shaft 4 of the conveyer. As shown, a bell 15 formed on the end of the shaft 12, makes it easy to guide claws 9 on a driven element on the end of the shaft 4, into engagement with recesses 10 in a driving element 11 on the shaft 12. In a modification (Fig. 4, not shown), the coupling 14 and shaft 12 are replaced by a telescopic shaft having splined couplings and universal joints at each end.
