Abstract

1,269,184. Disinfectant vapouriser. VIBRASUG A.B. 9 April, 1970 [9 April, 1969], No. 16955/70. Heading A5G. A disinfectant vapouriser for use with a disinfecting chamber comprises a compartment with a gas or air inlet pipe 5 and outlet pipe 7 leading from and to the chamber. Within the compartment is a trough 8 holding a vapourisable liquid disinfectant heated by an electric heater 13 and fixed rigidly to one wall 9 of the compartment. The other end of the trough is not fixed so that, when heated, it expands, the probe 24 then moving the spring- loaded, pivoted lever 21 between the two positions shown when, at each extreme position, it actuates a plunger switch 18a and 18b. In the position shown in continuous lines the current to the heater is allowed to flow and the current to the dosing pump 15 is shut off. Disinfectant is vapourised and circulates through the chamber and compartment with the aid of a fan 2 (Fig. 1, not shown), the trough expands until the lever reverses the switches, when fresh disinfectant is fed in by the dosing pump, whereupon heating begins again. A modified device is depicted in Figs. 4-7 and 2 (not shown), in which the compartment is contained within the disinfecting chamber and the switch controls are brought to the front of the chamber and compartment, the controls being operated by expansion and contraction of the trough as before.
