Abstract

An auxiliary headlamp for a vehicle consists of a sealed disposable unit comprising a reflector R, a front glass G and a lamp bulb L, the bulb having connecting wings or fins which are secured, e.g. by soldering, to a pair of angle members 1, 2 mounted on the inside surface of the reflector and providing both physical support for, and electrical connection to, the bulb. The member 1 is rigid and the member 2 relatively resilient to accommodate manufacturing tolerances in the components. The members are attached to the reflector by rivets (3, 4) which are secured to external leads (5, 6). The headlamp may contain a dessicant.
