Man-hole doors and frames. - In a man-hole fitting for steam-boilers, vanks, &c., a groove 3 is formed around the edge of the hole in the interior face of the compensating plate 1, and the door 4 is formed with an outwardly flanged edge 5 which engages tightly in the groove.
