[Also in Divisions Cl and C5] In a process for coking waste liquor 122 from a wood pulping process, see Division C5, the liquor is produced in a digester 106 supplied with wood chips 105, recycled liquor 107 from the coking stage, and suitable chemicals and fresh or recovered acid 141; 142. The cooking liquor is orientated through pump 111, heater 112 back to the digester. In this embodiment temperatures in the digester range from 265‹ to 300‹F and pressures from 70 to 90 p.s.i.g. Residence times of 6 to 12 hours are mentioned. Figs. 3 to 5 (not shown) relate to modifications all with similar operating conditions.
