Hydroplane vessels; floats for aerial machines.-In a hydrocraft, such as a hydroplane or hydro - aeroplane, having a, plane below the level of the floating surface, the said plane is built up of a preferably rigid forward part A and a trailing part B which is hinged about a transverse horizontal axis C and is yieldingly supported at a point behind the axis. The stay F for this purpose may be yieldingly carried by the hydrocraft. The front part A may also be yieldingly supported on the fixed hinge C. The shock-absorbing device may consist of a spring or an hydraulic buffer.
