Abstract

A rail mounted electrical unit comprises a housing 1 having a recess and a circuit board 2 adapted to fit within the recess, its terminal conductors (6, 15, 11, 9) extending, via slots or recesses 15 on the housing, external the housing walls. The terminals 9 may project through a region of the housing provided with a stepped or sloping form. The terminals comprise any one or more of: solder tags; plug-in terminals; wound wire terminals; or screw terminals. Retaining means 16, 14 are provided on the slots to secure the circuit board within the housing and a removable panel 18 (Fig. 2) closes the other major side face of the housing. Several housings may be fixed side by-side-by riveting and sockets to receive test probes may be included in screw terminals.
