Abstract
1,265,836. Laminates. NARAKEN S.A. 15 Oct., 1969 [15 Nov., 1968], No. 50646/69. Heading B5N. [Also in Division A3] Material especially for collars comprises a layer 1 of felt or melton and an inner layer 2 of hempen cloth with a coating 5 of thermoadhesive resin applied to it. The layers 1, 2 are attached to each other by the action of the heating tips (3) of a press (4) (Fig. 2, not shown) on the adhesive layer 5 so that there is adhesion only at the points 5<SP>1</SP>. The collar shape is cut from the material and the edge 6<SP>1</SP> of the upper collar 6 (of the same fabric as the garment to which the collar is to be attached) is inserted between the layers 1 and 2 and secured by stitching 7. Adhesion is completed over the remainder of the interfacial area between the layers 1, 2 by hot ironing.
