Stationary b a t c h - mixers with reciprocating stirrers.-A buttermaking apparatus, particularly intended for household use, comprises a vessel or container A, a perforated partition C inside the vessel, and a pair of perforated dashers E one on each side of the partition and provided with handles F by means of which they can be worked up and down alternately. The partition C is supported by being attached to a base D. The dishes consist of semicircular plates E secured to rods F, and are strengthened bv brackets G which are also secured to the rods.
