Cars and cabins; framework.-The fuselage of an aircraft is constructed with longitudinal members a arranged one at each corner of the crosssection, connected together by braces a<1>, a<2>, jointed to them by the use of gusset-pieces b pegged and glued in place, and stiffened by chocks d, d'. Diagonal braces e may also be fitted. Between the main frames, light bars may be fitted to support the wooden sheathing, which is formed by longitudinal or diagonal planking, nailed or wired on. The whole may then be covered with fabric fixed on with the threads running obliquely.
