Abstract

1,265,120. Bobbins; transfer tails. ASAHI KASEI KOGYO K.K. 13 July, 1970 [23 Jan., 1970], No. 33983/70. Heading B8M. A transfer tail 12b is secured to a bobbin 11 by means of a tab 14 adhered to the bobbin surface, the tab being formed of a main adhesive-bearing part 14a and a lateral non-adhesive bearing flap 14b, a rounded nose being formed on the flap to project axially and circumferentially of the bobbin, and the junction between the main part 14a and the flap 14b extending circumferentially around the bobbin. The leading end of the yarn is trapped between the flap 14b and the surface of the bobbin. The flap is preferably of generally triangular or quadrilateral shape with a rounded leading nose. The tab may be made of paper sheet, plastics sheet or metal foil.
