Disk-apparatus.-A grinding-machine adapted to operate upon the faces of moulding-boxes and like articles of large dimensions comprises a grinding-disk k supported on a vertical spindle l carried by a slide n laterally adjustable along a slideway m by a pair of belt-driven screws p. A screw s serves to give vertical adjustment to the slideway m. The spindle l is driven by belt-connexion of a pulley w thereon with a driving-pulley z carried by links 2, 3 adapted to serve as a tensioning-device. The work is supported on a reciprocable table c actuated through rack-gearing. An adjustable guard x may surround the grinding- disk k.
