Abstract

126,442. Lloyd, J. L. May 6, 1918. Equipments f o r carrying purposes.- An equipment for carrying either wounded soldiers or goods comprises a frame formed of side bars A and crossbars, the frame having on one side a saddle-shaped seat B supported by a bracket D, and a hinged wooden shelf C, and on the other side a pair of padded bars G to which two padded curved metal shoulder brackets H are attached. The latter have metal buckles I carrying broad leather straps J through the bottom of which passes the waist belt K, the ends of which are attached to the frame. To carry a person, the shelf C is raised as shown, and the person sits astride the saddle; to carry goods, the shelf is lowered on to the saddle and the goods placed thereon.
