Abstract

1,262,844. Spray carburetters. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE DE BREVETS ET D'ETUDES. Feb. 16, 1970 [Feb. 28, 1969], No.7321/70. Addition to 1, 143, 499. Heading F1B. The carburetter of the Parent Specification is modified by the connection to the air passage 17, supplying dilution air to the mixture from the passage 1, of a passage 29 adapted to be connected to the engine crank-case. The flow of crank-case gases through the passage 29 may be controlled by a suction-actuated spring-biased valve member 31 which is seated at slow-running and has a central flow aperture 32. In a modification, Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), the flow of crank-case gases into the air passage 17 is controlled by a face valve (37) mounted on the throttle valve shaft 38 and having a crescent-shaped groove (40) of varying width which connects portions of the passage 29 opening into the face of the carburetter body with which the face valve co-operates.
