Abstract

126,060. Orville, T. L. R. d'. Nov. 23, 1916. Rotary cylindrical valves.-The throttle valve of a carburettor comprises two concentric cylindrical shutters a, b ported at a<2>, a<3> and b<2>, b<3> respectively. The axles of the shutters project through opposite covers of the casing c, and are provided with actuating-levers a<6>, b<6>, which are adapted to be moved in opposite directions, e.g. by being connected to a lever on opposite sides of the fulcrum. The shutter a is provided with a wide tapered channel a<8> which controls additional air through the port c'. Alternatively, the port c<1> may be tapered and the channel parallel.
