Abstract

1,260,358. Transfers. E. TORDJMAN. 4 July, 1969 [7 Aug., 1968], No. 33911/69. Heading B6C. A pressure-sensitive transfer comprises a support sheet 1, with indicia 2 printed on it, and a layer 3 of a pressure-sensitive adhesive containing two solvents which penetrate the indicia 2 by electrostatic action between one solvent and the material of the indicia, and form a parting layer 4 between the indicia and the support sheet 1. When the transfer is applied to a receiving surface the indicia and the adhesive overlying them adhere to the receiving surface and the remainder of the adhesive is left adhering to the support sheet 1. Examples of support sheets, indicia and adhesive compositions which achieve this effect are given.
