Abstract

125,972. LongÞre, J. Nov. 15, 1913, [Convention date]. Pliers and cutters.-Pliers are provided with two pairs of jaws and with reversible handles to allow of the use of either pair of jaws. As shown, two crossed members A, B, connected by a pivot C are formed with flat jaws a, b provided with recesses D for use as gas-pliers and with round jaws a', b' provided with cutters E. The handles F, G are loose on the pivot C and are provided with projections f, g to engage and operate the members A, B. The handles are reversible as shown by the broken lines. The jaws are pressed apart by a spring round the pivot C. The invention may be applied to pliers having parallel-movement jaws.
