Pliers and tongs. - An adjustable pivot for plier - like wrenches comprises a slot 3 with inclined notches or recesses 4 on one side formed in one member 1, and a fixed oval or flattened pivot pin 5 in the other member 6. On turning the two members at right-angles, the pin may be passed along the slot for engagement with any one of the notches.
