Abstract
1,258,569. Boots &c. A. KELLNER. 29 Oct., 1968 [13 June, 1968], No. 51326/68. Heading A3B. [Also in Division E2] A fastening for footwear comprises two interengaging parts which engage in the eyelets of a shoe, the part 6 having prongs 10 connected by a cross bar 8 with hook shaped portions 20 which are engageable with a cross bar 9 of a similar part 7. Each prong passes under a loop 18 on a plate 17 securable to a shoe upper and has a series of recesses 12 for selective engagement with a pin 19 on the plate. In another embodiment each part 6, 7 has one prong, the part 7 having a T head. In a further embodiment the or each prong is serrated on its under surface and is engageable with a block on the plate.
