Abstract

1,257,810. Electric cables. T. F. MOSS. 18 July, 1969 [19 April, 1968], No. 18549/68. Heading H1A. A covered cable is thermo formed into a self supporting configuration, e.g. helical or sinuous, and comprises an inner layer 1 of a first material, e.g. P.V.C. and a thermo formable outer layer 2, e.g. of nylon or polypropylene. The layer 1 is extruded over the insulated conductors 3 whilst layer 2 is extruded over this by pulling the cable through an extrusion cross head and the two layers may be bonded.
