Abstract
1,257,315. Yarn heater guide. LEESONA CORP. 18 Oct., 1968 [20 Oct., 1967], No. 49441/68. Heading B5B. [Also in Division D1] A yarn is guided, during its passage through a heater, in a circuitous path by a cooled guide so as to cool the yarn as it passes about the guide. As shown yarn Y passes over a cooled cylindrical guide 24. The guide is clamped into the side of heater 14 and is cooled by passing air through bore 32. The bore 32 has radial passages and annular bore 34 communicating with the inner surface of the guide 24. The yarn may pass from the heater to a false twist crimper. The production of false twist nylon yarn is exemplified.
