1,257,123. Preserving animal feedstuffs. BP CHEMICALS (U.K.) Ltd. 16 Sept., 1970 [17 Sept., 1969], No. 45749/69. Addition to 1,160,430. Heading A2B. Preventing the growth of mould or bacteria in animal protein feedstuffs by treating the feedstuffs with a binary or ternary mixture of formic, acetic and propionic acids, wherein the amount of liquid added to the feedstuffs is not greater than 15% by weight of the feedstuffs and the total water content of the feedstuffs after addition of the acids is not' greater than 50% by weight. The acid is preferably used as an aqueous solution. An animal protein feedstuff is a feedstuff derived from an animal (excluding fish).
