Abstract
1,255,967. Earth graders. H. BARRAS. 23 Dec., 1968, No. 61106/68. Heading E1F. A tractor-mountable grading device comprises a first frame that can be so mounted on the rear of a tractor that it can be swung vertically, a second frame pivoted on the first frame for to be swung vertically relative thereto, a cutter disc 16 so supported from the first frame that the disc will extend outwards of an adjacent rear wheel of the tractor when the device is mounted on the tractor, "and a rotary, vaned impeller unit 15 so supported on the second frame as to receive earth excavated by the disc and to cause such earth to be discharged clear to one side of the excavator. A ramp 19 is provided at the bottom of the impeller to bridge the gap between the lower portions of the casing and the disc to cause transfer of excavated earth from the disc into the impeller unit and to scrape and grade the ground between the impeller casing and the blade.
