1,249,151. Excavator buckets. LEEFORD (LONDON) Ltd. 17 Feb., 1969 [20 Feb., 1968], No. 8195/68. Heading E1F. In an excavator bucket having a bottom plate structure 16 pivoted to the main structure 10 of the bucket adjacent the front lower part thereof, e.g. a 25, the plate structure 16 can be swung up through the main structure 10 by one or more, preferably two, jacks 28, 29 pivotally connected at 30 and 33 between the structures 10, 16. The structure 16, in front of the or each jack is configured to provide a rearwardly opening box structure that will embrace and protect the associated jack when the structure 16 is lowered to lie in the vicinity of the bottom edges of the structure 10.
