Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable cutting-into of excavating claws in an approximately perpendicular manner to a ground and to protect breakers, by a method wherein excavating breakers are secured through the medium of a quadrilateral link mechanisms, and the excavating claws, operated by the breakers, are mounted at a link member.
CONSTITUTION: With a cylinder 30 driven, quadrilateral link mechanisms 40 are caused to turn downward, and the ground is crushed and excavated with excavating claws 47 cutting into the ground in an approximately perpendicular direction. So excavated earth and sand is sucked and discharged out to a ground through a steel pipe 10 together-with water. At an excavating time, if the ground is particulary hard and the excavating ground is uneven, a force in a lateral direction to the rotating direction of the excavating claws is exerted on the excavating claws 47. However, the excavating claws 47 are secured separately from breakers 46, and this causes application of no force in the lateral direction on the breakers 46 and eliminate the possibility of the damage of the function of the breakers 46.
