Earth and sand around the auger pipe 3 at the lower end of the pile 1 is excavated by means of rotary excavators 8, and the earth sand is fed to an opening at the lower end of the pipe 3 to raise and discharge the earth and sand by means of the auger 5. The rotary excavators 8 are designed to turn around the auger pipe 3. They may be designed to reciprocate in a radial direction as shown in an arrow mark A and to enable to perform an excavation of earth and sand all the way through to a plane positioned immediately below the depth of the pile 1.
