Abstract

A silencer comprises a casing 2 having two internal partitions 5, 5a forming three chambers in tandem of which the two end chambers are each larger than the intermediate chamber, an inlet conduit 8 projecting through one end chamber and opening into the intermediate chamber, an outlet conduit 8a leading from the intermediate chamber through the other end chamber and the portions of the conduits passing through the end chambers having perforations opening into the end chambers.
