1,255,772. Sterilisation of liquids. DRAYTON CASTLE Ltd. and K. M. HENFREY. 21 Nov., 1968 [21 Nov., 1967], No. 52874/67. Heading A2D. [Also in Division C1] Liquids in containers, e.g. bottles, are sterilised by placing the containers in a chamber which is partially evacuated before the admission of steam, the pressure in the chamber being subsequently reduced to evaporate water which has condensed on the containers which are thereby cooled. Each container is surrounded by a material which absorbs the condensed water and may be in the form of a liner for a holder for the container.
