Abstract

1,255,109. Filter assemblies. ITT INDUSTRIES Inc. 23 July, 1970, No. 35701/70. Heading H1R. An R.F. filter assembly comprising tubular capacitance and inductance members is secured within a terminal block to receive a connector terminal. The filter assembly 12, Fig. 1, comprises an outer ceramic tubular member 14 of barium titanate and an inner ferrite tubular member 16 silver-coated with conductive layers 18, 22, 24, 28, which are sintered together so that the two tubular members are secured together with an integral conductor. A spring 32 with a bowed centre portion 34 is provided to ensure contact between the layer 28 and a terminal pin 42. The layer 18 is connected to ground in normal operation. The assembly is accommodated in a block comprising insulators 66, 68 and ground plane 72 and retained by shoulders 76, 78. The connector terminal 42 is retained in the block by a clip 84 with fingers 86 which abut the shoulder 88 on the terminal 42. Release is facilitated by a suitable tool.
