Abstract

1278611 Electric igniters DYNAMIT NOBEL AG 24 July 1969 [25 July 1968] 37348/69 Heading F3A An igniter comprises an electrically conducting casing 7, a polepiece 6, an incandescent bridge 2 for igniting a charge 14, and an insulating member 1 supporting the bridge with one end of the bridge in contact with a shoulder formed in the casing or constituted by a conducting sleeve 12, the other end of the bridge contacting or being integral with a conductor 4 in electrical contact with the polepiece. The conductor 4 is widened out at 5 and the bridge is formed with an annular portion 3. The bridge is a wire or foil deposited on the insulating member 1 by chemical and/or electro-deposition processes and is in the form of a straight or zig-zag arm composed of copper, silver, gold, nickel, chrome-nickel or constantan. The member 1 is made of laminated cellulose paper, cotton fabric, glass fibre fabric or synthetic fibre fabric impregnated with a phenol, epoxide, or polyester resin.
